AYou can remove the horn head by unscrewing it from the canister. The gas contained will not escape, as the can is self sealing. However it is suggested that you refrain from removing the horn head, because the product will not be ready to use, in time of need.

An 100N lifejacket must be constructed in such a way so as to turn an unconscious person upright, and keep the airways clear of water. Some lifejackets, including the child lifejacket Pokemon, and the new Nemo, have been designed, and constructed so that the right front side of the lifejacket (as the user wears it) has an average of 6 layers of material, while the left front side has an average of 9 layers. This was the result of many tests, during which we have established that this specific design had the best performance safetywise.

The differences between these three models are the following:
1. The Omega lifejacket has a larger chamber, which provides a buoyancy of 194 Newton* when it is inflated. The chambers of Alpha and Sigma provide a buoyancy of 150 Newton.
3. The seams of Omega & Alpha gas inflation lifejackets are double welded, while the Sigma inflatable jacket is single welded.
4. The Omega & Alpha gas inflation lifejackets are available in adult and child sizes, with the choice of a harness and a D-ring, while the Sigma inflatable jacket is available only in adult sizes, without a harness but with the choice of a D-ring.

AYes, according to the Law, all children's gas inflation lifejackets must be equipped with an automatic device and a safety harness. At the time of need, a child will probably not be able to pull the cord of the manual system, thus seriously jeopardizing its survival. At the same time, the safety harness is necessary to be used with a safety line attached to it and the boat, so as to prevent fall off the boat.

AThe CO2 cylinder of the inflatable lifejacket lasts for 5 years, if it is not used. However, the cylinder must be replaced after every use of the inflation jacket.

AThe LALIZAS gas inflation lifejackets should always be inspected after every use. However, even if they haven't been used, it is recommended to be serviced once a year at a Lalizas Service station.

AAccording to the Law, all gas inflation lifejackets should be inflated within 5 seconds after activation of the device. The LALIZAS Gas inflation Lifejacket is inflated within 2-3 seconds from the moment the device is activated.

AThe NEMO lifejacket with its buoyancy of 100N can certainly save a child's life at the time of need. The lifejacket includes a large flotation collar that supports the child's head. Its buoyancy material is apportioned in such a way so as to turn (if necessary) and keep the child breast and head up on the surface, even if it is unconscious. Additional characteristics of the lifejacket are the adjustable waist belt, and the crotch strap that keeps the vest securely in place whilst in the water.

The harness and lifejacket crotch strap is used for extra safety and secure fit of the lifejacket to the body, by passing it between the legs and securing it at the appropriate buckle at the front of the lifejacket or harness. It can be used with all Lalizas lifejackets and the safety harnesses. (See Picture)

The main difference between the two models of SOLAS lifejacket lights, is their mounting on the lifejacket. The Lithium Compact Light is placed in the front part of the lifejacket, by first creating an opening with a cutting pin, so as to place the holder (00662) (see photo). As far as the Simple Lithium light is concerned, the bulb is placed in an existing holder on the side of the lifejacket, while the battery of the light is placed on the belt of the lifejacket.

The stages for using an EEBD are the following:

·        The line of the EEBD bag is passed around the head.

·        The top of the bag is pulled by the handgrip.

·        The hood is worn.

·        Breathing normally, the area should be evacuated immediately.

From the moment the top of the EEBD bag is pulled, the air supply begins and lasts for 15 minutes (see photo).
